About the Role:
Tunstall Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Operations Manager to join our team at our Whitley Head Office. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective production of lifesaving and life-changing products for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning: Provide production and material planning to ensure delivery of the Master Production Schedule (MPS). Forecast and plan production to meet customer demands, and manage the processes and transactions for the business in line with our sales and operations planning (S&OP) process.
- Supply Chain Management: Liaise with buyers to ensure material availability to meet production plans, and manage engineering changes to reduce the risk of obsolescence.
- Inventory Management: Accurately control inventories, work-in-progress, and waste to ensure contractual obligations are met and working capital is not negatively impacted.
- Communication and Collaboration: Facilitate effective communications with managers, team leaders, and support areas to achieve company objectives, and ensure high housekeeping standards are maintained.
- Continuous Improvement: Apply continuous improvement philosophy and techniques to aid efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Production Planning Experience: Proven experience in a production planning environment, with knowledge of ERP systems, preferably IFS.
- Supply Chain Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, stock control, and inventory management.
- Analytical Skills: Analytical approach, comfortable working with figures, and able to make decisions quickly under pressure.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and able to work well as part of a team.
- IT Skills: Strong IT skills, able to use computer software, including intermediate Excel spreadsheets, to create plans, collect, and analyze figures for schedules and reports.
