Job Overview
We're seeking a skilled Network Technician to join our team in Ludlow, Shropshire. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of our underground and overhead network up to 66kV. You'll also be responsible for programming and monitoring work colleagues, issuing safety documentation, and dealing with other tasks related to the Technician role.
Key Responsibilities
- Network operations, including issuing Limitations of Access and Permit to Work safety documents up to 66kV
- Construction of distribution substations, construction and alteration of overhead lines, and installation of plant
- Repair and replacement of faulty and obsolete plant, cables, and overhead lines
- Recording asset routes, details, and positions, as well as plant details
- Connecting generators
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need to have a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and be able to work independently as part of a small team. You'll also need good communication skills, a flexible attitude, and the ability to cope in pressured situations. In addition, you'll be required to train as an SAP and be mobile throughout the area to undertake standby duties as part of the formal rota operating in the team.
