Nursery Cook Job Description

Flow Sports Personnel Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Nursery Cook to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing healthy and nutritious meals for the children in our nursery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • In consultation with the Nursery Manager, develop and implement weekly menus that cater to the needs of all children, in line with our food and drink policy.
  • Ensure all meal planning and food ordering is in line with the agreed catering budgets.
  • Maintain accurate records of food allergies and ensure that all children with allergies are catered for in compliance with our allergies policy.
  • Ensure the kitchen and kitchen equipment are kept clean and tidy, and that all food is stored and handled in accordance with food safety regulations.
  • Undertake baking activities with children and promote healthy eating habits.
Requirements:
  • Minimum two years' proven catering experience.
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Ability to work under pressure in an organised way.
  • Knowledge of food preparation for special dietary needs.
  • Ability to work with children in preparing simple snacks and baking preparation.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
