Salary: £33,500 per annum

Overview:

People Solutions Group is currently seeking a dedicated Management Accountant to become a vital part of our collaborative team.

The ideal candidate will support the Accounting Department in the creation of financial reports and documentation for evaluation by the Finance Manager, Human Resources, and Finance Director, which will be presented to the Board of Directors and various external parties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the fixed asset register
  • Perform cash and bank reconciliations
  • Prepare periodic VAT returns
  • Submit Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns
  • Assist in the preparation of month-end journals, including prepayments, accruals, and depreciation
  • Oversee the reconciliation of UK stock
  • Maintain UK HSBC Import Funding records
  • Create and update monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reconciliation templates
  • Process AMEX statements
  • Handle HSBC Corporate Credit Card statements
  • Manage invoices from various platforms
  • Support the production of month-end Management Accounts
  • Provide assistance during periods of absence within the Accounts team

Essential Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
  • Exceptional analytical and numerical skills
  • Solid understanding of business principles
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency with various software applications

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with Sage software is advantageous
