Job Title: Deputy Manager Children's Home - Activity and Intervention Specialist

We are seeking two Deputy Managers to join our team at a service based in Arthog, supporting children aged 8-18 with emotional and behavioural disorders.

The Role:
  • As a Deputy Manager in a 5-bedded home, you will be accountable for the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring the highest standards of care and support are maintained.
  • You will work closely with the Home Manager to develop and implement care plans, ensuring the needs of each child are met.
  • Responsibilities will include staff supervision, training, and development, as well as maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • You will also be responsible for ensuring the home is a safe and welcoming environment for children and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the Home Manager and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Supervise and support staff to ensure they are equipped to provide high-quality care and support.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including incident reports and staff supervision records.
  • Ensure the home is a safe and welcoming environment for children and staff.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with emotional and behavioural disorders.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, staff, and external agencies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
