About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Podiatrist to join our team at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Podiatrist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality podiatry services to patients with diabetic and high-risk foot conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess new patients against an agreed eligibility matrix and plan future podiatric care.
  • Provide a range of podiatry treatments, including wound care for diabetic and non-diabetic ulceration.
  • Manage Active Diabetic Foot problems and participate in the MDT Diabetic Foot Clinic.
  • Deliver education and training sessions to other healthcare professionals and patient groups.
  • Communicate effectively with other services, including Community Nurse Teams, GP, and Accident and Emergency/SDEC.

Requirements

  • Registered with the Health Professions Council.
  • Postgraduate Podiatry experience.
  • Experience of NHS working.
  • Working with Podiatry Assistants.
  • Demonstrate a broad range of clinical skills, including interest in Diabetic and High-Risk Foot Care.
  • Demonstrate good organisation skills and ability to create care plans.
  • Knowledge of HCPC and RCoP standards of practice.
  • Degree/Diploma in Podiatry.
  • Evidence of Continual Professional Development.
  • Non-Medical Prescribing Module (V300) successfully completed or willingness to work towards it.
