Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Contract Officer to join our team at QPR in the Community Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the P.E & school sport themed strands of the QPR Primary Stars program, including engaging and inspiring participants, developing and delivering learning resources, and mentoring school staff in PE.
Main Responsibilities:
- Program Delivery: Deliver the P.E & school sport themed strands of the QPR Primary Stars program, including engaging and inspiring participants, developing and delivering learning resources, and mentoring school staff in PE.
- Learning Resources: Develop, refine, and deliver learning resources for P.E, including lesson plans, activity sheets, and assessment tools.
- Extra-Curricular Activities: Deliver extra-curricular sports clubs, including planning, organizing, and leading sessions.
- Mentoring and Coaching: Mentor school staff in PE, including providing coaching and guidance on lesson planning and delivery.
- Classroom Support: Provide classroom support for pupils 1:1 or in small groups, including supporting with literacy, numeracy, and PSHE interventions.
- Event Planning: Plan and deliver whole school collapsed curriculum days and assemblies, including coordinating with teachers and other stakeholders.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Complete monitoring and evaluation in line with PLCF and QPR policies, including tracking participant progress and evaluating program impact.
- Partnerships and Collaborations: Engage with schools and participants in Social Action projects, particularly climate change awareness, and liaise with a number of partners across a range of schools and organizations.
- Program Development: Plan and deliver appropriate activities that fulfill the national curriculum requirements, including ensuring suitable progression pathways are available for young people.
- Reporting and Administration: Deliver against agreed targets as per the project plan and funding conditions, and organize, manage, and deliver other events as relevant to the program.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: UKCC level 2 coaching qualifications or equivalent, and 1st4sport/afPE Level 2 or 3 in supporting PE and school sport (desirable).
- Skills and Experience: Coaching/teaching young people aged 5-11 years in a school setting, evaluating the impact of sessions, and mentoring other staff through coaching/teaching (desirable).
- Personal Qualities: Sensitive to the needs of young people, effective communication skills for all targeted audiences, and able to build positive relationships with those young people who attend your sessions.
