Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Principal Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will provide technical leadership in the design and implementation of data centre projects across the UK, Europe, and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical system design and strategy for data centre projects
  • Manage project delivery from concept through commissioning
  • Attend client and contractor meetings, offering expert mechanical design guidance
  • Produce detailed schematics, specifications, and reports
  • Drive sustainable and energy-efficient solutions across all phases of design
  • Conduct QA/QC inspections and technical reviews on-site
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster growth within the team

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Chartered Engineer (IET or CIBSE)
  • Extensive experience leading mechanical designs in the data centre sector
  • Expertise in critical systems design, resilience strategies, and cooling technologies
  • Strong knowledge of UK & EU standards and regulations
