Opportunity Overview:

Infraspec is on the lookout for a seasoned Senior Planning Engineer to play a pivotal role in a major defence infrastructure initiative. This position provides a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, offering both permanent and contract employment options tailored to your career aspirations. Candidates must possess the ability to secure SC level security clearance or hold a valid UK passport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and oversee project timelines, ensuring effective coordination of work packages, monitoring progress, and resource management.
  • Manage collaboration with subcontractors, including the evaluation and endorsement of their project schedules.
  • Engage with stakeholders to communicate updates on progress, alterations, risks, and potential opportunities.
  • Assist in proposal development by providing manhour estimates and planning insights.
  • Generate precise and comprehensive reports on project metrics, including critical path assessments, for the Defence Infrastructure Leadership Team.

Qualifications:

  • Intermediate proficiency in Primavera P6 is essential.
  • Strong command of MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Project.
  • Self-driven with the ability to meet deadlines independently.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of delivering clear and concise updates on project status, critical path challenges, and performance metrics.
  • Ability to confidently engage with subcontractors and critically assess their submissions.
  • Experience as a project planner under NEC4 Contracts (especially Options A and C) is required.
  • A background in significant infrastructure design and construction projects is highly advantageous.
  • Experience within the nuclear or defence sectors is particularly desirable.
  • Applicants must be UK nationals and eligible for Security Clearance.
