About the Role

Mace is seeking a highly skilled Data Protection Compliance Practitioner to support the operations of the global privacy team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing data protection regulatory advice and support to Mace globally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide data protection regulatory advice and support to Mace globally, working closely with senior members of the data protection team.
  • Respond to GDPR queries, requesting assistance where required, and supporting the review of UK data protection provisions in contracts and other documents.
  • Co-manage GDPR requests from data subjects, including DSARs, access requests, and data subject rights.
  • Support the GDPR team with incident and breach management, investigation, and notifications.
  • Deliver training and legal research on data protection matters, initially in the UK and then for specified jurisdictions.
  • Assist with the communication and roll-out of the ROPA under instruction.
  • Support regulatory registrations and certifications globally, including liaison with regulatory authorities.
  • Manage DSARs, SARs, regulatory internal monitoring, audit, and reporting, including updating and maintaining internal registers.
Requirements
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Contract review experience, including DPA's.
  • Work towards a GDPR qualification, such as CIPPE or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience reviewing and amending Data Protection clauses and Contracts in the UK and EU.
  • Good professional written competencies and ability to research and understand complex privacy and compliance requirements.
  • Proactive continuous learning regarding global privacy regulations and associated activities.
