Interaction Recruitment is seeking a skilled Yard Technician with prior experience in a Builders Merchants or Building Supplies environment to join a dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will possess a Full UK Driving Licence with a maximum of 6 penalty points.

This position is a full-time, permanent opportunity within a company that genuinely appreciates its workforce.

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday from 07:00 am to 4:30 pm, with one Saturday every two weeks from 07:00 am to 11:30 am.

Salary:
£27,000 to £29,000 depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Picking and preparing orders (80% yard operations)
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
- Inspecting incoming goods
- Operating a counterbalance forklift
- Delivering exceptional customer service to visitors in the yard and during deliveries
- Conducting deliveries using a van (20% driving duties)

Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience in a builders merchant setting
- No more than 6 points on driving licence
- At least 2 years of experience as a yard operative
- Forklift operation experience is advantageous
- Proficient in English (speaking, reading, and writing)
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling
- Committed to health and safety standards
- Dependable and hardworking
