Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Engineer to join our team at Adecco. As a Production Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating production engineering processes from the final design phase to full production release.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the standards, methods, and procedures for the design, modification, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment (jigs / fixtures / tooling) and processes.
  • Develop and deliver production plans, build documentation, and route cards for a variety of engineering projects from final design and into series production.
  • Contribute to the development of the Operations Department strategy.
  • Coordinate cross-functional departmental activities to resolve manufacturing issues during day-to-day operations.
  • Develop best practices to improve production capacity, quality, and reliability.
  • Support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support new product introductions and design for manufacture activities.
  • Responsible for production engineering tasks associated with ToT (Transfer of Technology) projects.
  • Undertake customer and supplier visits by car, when necessary.
  • Develop operating instructions and equipment specifications for production activities.
Requirements
  • Degree educated in an Engineering related discipline, or a recognised engineering apprenticeship within an electro-optical manufacturing environment, desirable.
  • Demonstrate a good level of understanding and application of process engineering principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
  • The ability to react swiftly to changes in production demands and implement effective and timely solutions.
  • Have excellent time management abilities.
  • Have the ability to work alone or part of a team.
  • Be an effective communicator.
  • Be comfortable with working in the defence and security sectors.
  • Have the ability to meet deadlines and produce quality deliverables.
  • Have the ability to read engineering drawings and understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
