Join Our Client's Team as a Project Controller
Are you an experienced Project Controller with a commitment to excellence? We invite you to become an integral part of our client's engineering organization in Bolton, where your expertise will help maintain high standards and drive project success.
The Role:
The Project Controller plays a crucial role in achieving key objectives by effectively managing project planning within their designated team. This position requires close collaboration with various departments to develop, implement, and oversee the Primavera Integrated Plan Network. Furthermore, the Project Controller is responsible for upholding the company's standards for Planning and Scheduling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess ongoing project progress and performance, identifying variances and their root causes.
- Generate comprehensive reports and propose actions to enhance project advancement.
- Develop and maintain the overall project schedule, ensuring adherence to company standards.
- Provide coaching to team members in engineering, production, and project management on best practices in planning and scheduling.
- Consolidate work package plans into a cohesive network that meets company requirements.
- Assist teams in updating their plans regularly.
- Create and distribute project schedule data, offering solutions for conflicts and recommending corrective measures.
- Administer the Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology as necessary.
- Lead the Project Critical Path Analysis process, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Foster strong relationships with engineers and the broader team to effectively implement project control standards and deliver accurate project performance data.
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with:
- Extensive experience in Primavera P6, SAP PS, and industry-standard software applications, particularly spreadsheets.
- Strong communication skills, capable of collaborating within large, multidisciplinary teams across various functions.
- A keen interest in working within a diverse, pan-European environment.
- Proven experience in commercial and financial management.
- A proactive approach and the ability to motivate team members, along with strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
