Are you eager to kick-start your career in the engineering sector? We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Toolmaker to join our team at Novus Recruitment, a leading global manufacturer of technologically advanced products for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology markets.
In this role, you will have the chance to learn and develop your skills in manufacturing and assembling plastic injection & elastomer moulds, press-tools, and other tooling components using various machining and bench fitting techniques. You will work with a range of manual and CNC machines, including mills, lathes, and grinders.
To succeed in this position, you will need a strong foundation in engineering, technical design, maths, or physics, ideally with a formal qualification at College level or significant relevant experience in an engineering environment. An NVQ / BTEC Level 2 or 3 in an engineering discipline is highly desirable.
If you have a passion for engineering, a positive attitude towards work, and the intermediate engineering skills mentioned, this could be your ideal opportunity to launch your career with a global organisation. The role offers a great starting salary and wonderful prospects, with the possibility of a 4 or 5-day week position, depending on your study commitments.
