Fleet Training Specialist

CML is seeking a dedicated Fleet Training Specialist to enhance our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring our drivers receive top-notch training and support.
As a Fleet Training Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to conduct comprehensive training sessions for our drivers, while assessing and monitoring the effectiveness of these training initiatives.
Compensation: £43,704 per annum.
Work Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm (with flexibility as needed).
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate in-house, periodic Driver CPC training sessions.
- Provide instruction on drivers' hours, tachographs, and WTD regulations to both new hires and current drivers.
- Conduct orientation and training for new employees.
- Evaluate and monitor all training efforts to ensure all requirements are consistently met.
- Deliver both verbal and written assessments of drivers' capabilities and performance post-training, utilizing coaching and counseling techniques as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all training activities.
- Collaborate with the Transport Management team to maximize the benefits of all training initiatives.
- Assess the driving standards of our drivers and offer guidance to departments such as Health & Safety, Transport, and Human Resources.
- Perform risk assessments and establish safe working practices for various operational sites.
- In-depth knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers' hours regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Possession of an LGV C&E Driving Licence is essential.
- Exceptional communication skills to convey accurate information to trainees.
- Able to work efficiently and effectively under pressure.
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Office.
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
- Advanced driving qualifications are desirable.
- Strong presentation skills.
