Job Responsibilities

  • Design verification and testing
  • Building the assembly process and implementing it with incoming technicians
  • Implementing design changes for FMEA and DFMA through design reviews
  • Creating manufacture drawings and quality specifications
  • Liaising with the supply chain to understand their requirements and feed this into the design process
  • Tolerance analysis
  • Design of new parts and products, including involvement in brainstorming, designing, and prototyping of products as well as test equipment
  • CAD modelling, 3D printing, and testing
  • Setting up and optimising an assembly line

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience in mechanical design
  • Significant practical experience (3-5 years) and/or BSc Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Commercial and budget awareness/experience with controlling the costs of a project
  • Capable of managing projects/work packages/technicians (future responsibility)
  • Full understanding of relevant engineering and quality standards (ISO)
  • 3D CAD experience in Solid Works
  • Experience in more than one phase of the engineering life cycle, with sufficient experience of the total life cycle to ensure a good understanding of adjacent phases and through-life engineering issues
