Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and flexible Network Officer to join our team at SGN. As a Network Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of gas to Multiple Occupancy Buildings (MOBs) across our network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the management of gas supplies to MOBs across SGN's networks in Southern and Scotland, including domestic gas risers and complex distribution systems (CDS) supplying larger commercial buildings.
  • Develop and implement processes for CDS, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage CDS survey programmes, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Collaborate with Local Authorities, Housing Associations, and other building owners to provide information packs relating to Building Safety Cases for high-rise buildings.
  • Manage the buy-out process, ensuring seamless transitions.
  • Compile and issue accurate management information, supporting business decision-making.
  • Lead a small team to achieve objectives across all areas of work, promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Support the wider Network Management team with other tasks, fostering a collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Highly motivated individual with a flexible approach, able to adapt quickly to change and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with other departments and stakeholders.
  • Good knowledge of SGN systems and processes, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Ability to collate and issue accurate management information, supporting business decision-making.
