Working Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 05:30 - 15:30

Compensation: £14.86 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily QA operations to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, customer standards, and internal policies regarding food safety.
  • Establish and enforce effective procedures and verification processes to maintain operational integrity.
  • Analyze customer and consumer feedback for trends and collaborate with operational and QA teams to drive root cause analysis.
  • Implement and monitor corrective and preventive actions for ongoing improvements.
  • Manage the finished product release process to ensure only compliant products are distributed.
  • Coordinate variable labeling requirements in operational workflows, including pricing and promotional activities.
  • Ensure all sampling protocols are adhered to according to the verification schedule.
  • Maintain calibration standards for all testing equipment used during shifts.
  • Assist the Site QA Manager in managing pest control contracts by ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of organoleptic and other testing databases for effective reporting.
  • Communicate and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Engage in site projects to ensure food safety and quality standards are integrated into all initiatives.
  • Represent the organization in discussions regarding food safety and quality with external regulatory bodies and clients.
  • Perform additional tasks related to the effective operation and continuous enhancement of the Food Safety and Quality Management System (FSQMS) and customer standards.
  • Act in the best interests of 2 Sisters Food Group, its employees, brands, and consumers.
  • Contribute to fostering a quality-focused culture emphasizing behavioral food safety for continuous improvement.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Qualifications:
    • Food Safety Level 3 or 4
    • HACCP Level 3
    • Internal Auditor Certification
    • Diploma or higher in food science or related fields
  • Experience:
    • At least 2 years in a supervisory role within a food manufacturing environment.
    • Proven track record in enhancing technical and food safety standards.
    • Familiarity with 2nd and 3rd party standard requirements.
    • Experience working with demanding retail clients.
    • In-depth knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    • Understanding of current food safety legislation.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of HACCP principles.
    • Working knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation.
    • Strong leadership skills with a history of managing teams effectively.
    • Experience in internal and external auditing processes.
    • Capability in organizing teams and leading root cause analysis discussions.
  • Skills:
    • Leadership and motivation of technical staff.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
