Electrical Field Service Engineer Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Electrical Field Service Engineer to join our team in the South West region. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the service, repair, testing, and commissioning of medical equipment at hospital sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service and repair medical equipment, including surgical lighting, operating theatre tables, medical gas facilities, and associated control systems and electrical infrastructure.
  • Commission new medical equipment and ensure it is functioning correctly.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting tasks to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues and improve overall equipment performance.
  • Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with hospital staff and management.

Requirements:

  • Strong background working with high-value electrical-mechanical capital equipment.
  • Electrical qualification and relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with hospital staff and management.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the South West region, with occasional overnight stays.
