Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of food items as directed by the Head Chef.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene practices throughout the food preparation and service process.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP standards in the kitchen and all food and beverage outlets.
- Monitor kitchen equipment functionality and report maintenance issues to the Head Chef.
- Support the training and development of junior kitchen staff and supervise kitchen operations.
- Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring quality and administrative functions are met.
- Manage food provision to various outlets, ensuring compliance with current legislation.
- Address guest queries promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure food products are of high quality and stored appropriately.
- Contribute to menu development by incorporating guest feedback.
- Ensure consistent high-quality food production across all hotel outlets.
- Manage customer relations in the absence of the Head Chef or Executive Chef.
- Ensure effective management of kitchen resources to meet business needs.
- Support brand standards through training and assessment of the kitchen team.
- Effectively manage the kitchen brigade to maintain a well-organized and motivated team.
- Control costs while maintaining standards to improve gross profit margins and meet departmental financial targets.
- Assist other departments as needed and maintain positive working relationships.
- Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health and safety and food safety legislation.
- Report any maintenance, hygiene, and hazard issues, while being environmentally conscious.
