About the Firm:
Our client is a prominent, full-service law firm located in South-East London, featuring modern facilities and picturesque views.
They are seeking a junior real estate solicitor with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) to join their thriving property team and engage with long-term, valued clients.
You will inherit a busy caseload from day one and will be supported by a welcoming and cohesive team.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Head of Department, you will manage a comprehensive caseload and assist the department in accommodating increased workloads generated through various marketing and networking efforts. You will receive support from an experienced legal secretary and a professional support lawyer.
As part of a team of four solicitors, you will handle a wide range of commercial property matters, including:
- Acquisitions and disposals (both freehold and leasehold)
- Conditional sales and purchases
- Leases
- 1954 Act lease renewals
- Ancillary deeds (such as variations, surrenders, rent deposits, and licenses for alterations)
- Refinancing (representing both lenders and borrowers)
Candidate Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years PQE in all facets of commercial property law, with the ability to manage your own caseload.
- A strong understanding of diverse client needs, backed by solid experience.
- Proven ability to cultivate and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Capacity to collaborate effectively within a broader team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in modern case management systems as well as MS Word and Outlook.
- Experience in achieving billing targets in a fee-earning capacity.
- Background in business development and a proactive approach to expanding your client base as part of the firm's marketing and growth strategy.
- Ambitious and driven, with a focus on exceeding targets, complemented by attractive incentive bonuses for outstanding performance.
