Embedded Software Engineer Opportunity

Hexwired Recruitment is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join a well-established Electronics Manufacturer in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Embedded Software Engineer with a strong background in robotics and automation to help deliver key projects in a highly lucrative industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop firmware for low power, low memory devices
  • Work on robotics and automation products using C++ and ROS
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
Requirements
  • 4+ years of commercial Embedded software experience
  • Good commercial experience designing microcontrollers
  • Serial communication experience (SPI, I2C, etc.)
  • Good experience working on robotics and automation products
  • Previous experience working on GNSS and Navigation products is highly desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of ROS using C++ is highly desirable but not essential
