Role Overview:
The Early Years Practitioner/Nursery Nurse will support the manager and fellow team members in delivering exceptional care and education for children aged 0 to 5 years, in line with the nursery's policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and education tailored to the individual needs of all children.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures consistently.
- Foster positive working relationships with staff, parents, and caregivers.
- Maintain a safe and stimulating environment suitable for the children's age group.
- Comply with the Health and Safety Policy within the setting.
- Support the lead educator and actively contribute to the team.
- Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures.
- Plan and implement engaging play and educational activities in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
- Encourage each child to achieve their individual potential.
- Monitor child-to-staff ratios effectively.
- Maintain clear and accurate observations and records as required.
- Develop effective professional relationships with children, parents, colleagues, and other professionals.
- Attend to the personal hygiene needs of all children.
- Participate in relevant training sessions and staff meetings.
Skills Required:
Experience in Montessori education is highly desirable but not essential. A Level 2 qualification or above in Early Years Childcare is essential.
