About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Producer of Community Engagement to join our team at Royal Museums Greenwich. As a key member of our Engagement department, you will be responsible for creating and delivering a year-round public programme of activities inspired by our collections, themes, and sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver programmes in collaboration with community partners and stakeholders to create relevant, inclusive, and inspiring activities across our multiple sites.
  • Design and implement programmes that connect communities and collections around the legacies of empire, queer histories, and stories of migration.
  • Focus on developing participation opportunities for African and Caribbean, East and South-East Asian diaspora, and LGBTQ+ communities to develop stronger connections with our collection and bring new perspectives to maritime history.
  • Work closely with our community partners and stakeholders to ensure that our programmes are inclusive, accessible, and meet the needs of diverse audiences.
  • Manage and coordinate the delivery of programmes, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering a range of inclusive cultural engagement provision for diverse audiences, including large-scale public events.
  • Ability to create audience-led programmes for African and Caribbean/East Asian/South-East Asian diaspora communities.
  • Track record of building strong partnerships with communities and stakeholders.
  • Experience of writing and producing resources and promotional materials for a range of target audiences.
  • Innovative, imaginative, creative, and self-motivated with a high level of organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines.
