Job Opportunity: Automatic Gate Engineers

RAW Talent is excited to partner with a respected gate company known for its strong family values and long-term reliability. Since the mid-1980s, this family-run firm has delivered dependable solutions for every customer. They design and build top-quality systems within customers' budgets and support inherited installations until replacements are justified.

We are seeking experienced Automatic Gate Engineers to fill key roles in our team.

Job Purpose:

To install, repair, and maintain automated gates, barriers, bollards, and garage doors, ensuring seamless access control and security solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation and Maintenance: Install gates, barriers, bollards, and garage doors to specified standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements.
  • System Troubleshooting: Detect and repair system faults logically, using technical expertise to resolve complex issues efficiently.
  • Customer Service: Liaise with customers to provide progress updates, train them on system usage, and offer technical support as needed.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete paperwork (time sheets, expenses) and submit on time, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with company policies.
  • Team Collaboration: Support and train colleagues as needed, maintaining a positive and productive team environment.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications/Experience: At least 3 years of experience with automated gates, a valid driving license, and a strong understanding of access control systems.
  • Skills/Abilities: Logical approach to resolving technical issues, competence with hand and electrical tools, and good interpersonal skills for customer interactions.
Work Environment:
  • Exposure to electrical shock risk and moving mechanical parts.
  • Work in high places, outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Occasional office work and travel within the UK or overseas.
