Position Title: Vehicle Assembly Technician

Position Overview:
Located in a dynamic environment, our client operates a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to the assembly of future bespoke vehicles. They are currently in search of skilled Vehicle Assembly Technicians to enhance their core team.

This role requires collaboration with a Senior Assembly Technician in a cutting-edge vehicle development and engineering setting.

Your contributions will be vital in the assembly, testing, and quality assurance of advanced components and intricate sub-assemblies, culminating in the complete assembly of custom vehicles.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble complete vehicles and associated sub-assemblies according to specified build instructions.
  • Maintain rigorous quality control standards throughout the build process.
  • Install components on prototype and niche vehicles with accuracy.
  • Identify and resolve build and quality challenges in partnership with the engineering team.
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety protocols within an automotive assembly environment.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO9001/IATF16949, ISO Environmental, and OHSA standards.

Qualifications:
  • Proficient in the use of standard hand tools and power tools.
  • Preferred candidates will have an apprenticeship background with a Level 2 or 3 Automotive Technician qualification.
  • Experience in Special Vehicle Operations, niche vehicle production, motorsports, or automotive service networks is highly valued.
  • Ability to interpret workshop manuals and follow instructions effectively.
  • Capable of working autonomously with minimal oversight.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary; familiarity with Microsoft Office is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive vehicle assembly and repair processes.
  • Experience in light fabrication, manufacturing settings, and training peers will be considered beneficial.
