About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at Iris Care Group in Gloucester. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with Autism, Learning Disabilities, and Complex Needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centered support to individuals with Mental Health and Learning Disabilities
  • Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care and household activities
  • Communicate effectively with individuals using various methods of communication
  • Participate in the development and implementation of support plans
  • Lead and support less experienced staff to ensure best care practice and optimal outcomes
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Knowledge and experience of supporting individuals with Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, or Challenging Behaviour
  • Good basic comprehension of English language, including basic literacy and numerical skills
  • Ongoing commitment to personal development and training
