Position: Clinical Fellow in Haematology
Location: NHS Lanarkshire
We are pleased to announce an opening for a Clinical Fellow in Haematology. This role is a one-year fixed-term position focused on clinical trials within the field of Haematology. The selected candidate will manage clinics specifically designated for trial participants while also engaging in the standard clinical responsibilities of the Haematology department.
Training will be provided in essential procedures, including bone marrow techniques, to ensure compliance with clinical trial protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting new patient and follow-up clinics.
- Participating in ward duties and liaising with haematology services after an appropriate acclimatization period.
- Engaging in scheduled out-of-hours work, including fixed sessions on weekends, to participate in daily inpatient ward rounds.
- Delivering duties across multiple NHS sites as required.
For individuals who have completed their training outside the UK, a comprehensive induction program will be available to facilitate a smooth transition into the role. This program includes a two-week supportive onboarding period tailored to the candidate's experience.
Accommodation may be offered for candidates relocating from outside the NHS Lanarkshire area for an initial period to assist with the transition.
