About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Academic Support Specialist to join our team at Randstad Student Support. As a Specialist-one-to-one Study Skills Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing learning support and academic guidance to students with specific learning difficulties (SPLD).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized learning support and academic guidance to students with SPLD
  • Build on comprehension skills within reading and writing
  • Support students to identify and develop their learning strengths
  • Maintain a confidential and professional working relationship with students
  • Work collaboratively with other support staff to ensure seamless delivery of services
Requirements
  • Ability to identify ways of helping students to build on their learning strengths
  • Professional membership with the British Dyslexia Association (BDA), The Association of Dyslexia (ADSHE), or The Dyslexia Guild
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
