Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Apprentice

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer Apprentice to join our team at a prestigious facility in the Manchester area. The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects, including PPM and reactive works, small works, and refurbishment projects on AHUs, Fan Coil Units, Ventilation systems, and general mechanical plant room.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver a responsive breakdown and planned preventative maintenance service
  • General building services engineering across mechanical plant including pipework, venting, pumps, valves, feeds, motors, and associated mechanical plant room equipment
  • Minor project works/small works and refurbishment
  • General compliance checks, filter changes, belt maintenance, tap temps, and TMVs etc.
  • Working on AHUs systems and split Fan Coil Units plus all general ventilation plant across the estate and associated mechanical plant
Requirements:
  • A suitable mechanical Apprenticeship and a City and Guilds or equivalent is required for this role (NVQ Level 3)
  • Qualified in ventilation, HVAC or mechanical engineering
  • Familiar with maintenance operations
  • Pipefitters are welcome to apply as training will be given
  • Multiskilled background
  • Commercial plumbers (Level 3) are welcome to apply as training will be provided
  • Familiar with commercial grade equipment and sites
  • Willing and able to clear a DBS and HEP-B screening
