Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader, the Versatile Maintenance Technician will collaborate with a dedicated team of engineers.

Your role will involve performing both reactive and planned maintenance to ensure the smooth operation of all production equipment and services.

As part of a proactive maintenance team, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting scheduled maintenance tasks and addressing breakdowns in a dynamic food production setting.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and suggesting solutions to mitigate recurring issues.
  • Working closely with production teams to minimize downtime and enhance engineering efficiency.
  • Championing a culture of safety by adhering to health and safety regulations in all tasks.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A background as a time-served electrician or mechanical technician, preferably in the food production sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles, including familiarity with packaging, refrigeration, and labeling technologies.
  • The ability to think on your feet during breakdowns and product development scenarios while understanding relevant compliance standards.
  • Experience with process control systems and industrial electronics.
  • Knowledge of site services, including cleaning in place (CIP), refrigeration, steam systems, and water management.
  • A proven track record in both planned and reactive maintenance roles.

Interpersonal Skills:

We are looking for a team-oriented individual who is willing to support colleagues and build strong relationships across various departments.

You should be capable of managing a busy workload and performing effectively under pressure, with a strong focus on health and safety.
