This position involves overseeing transport operations at our facility, where you will manage both incoming and outgoing shipments. Your responsibilities will include welcoming visitors and contractors, coordinating shunting activities, and ensuring the yard management system is effectively maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adapt to the dynamic needs of customers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain clear communication regarding planning adjustments and service delivery with customers and supplier hauliers.
  • Oversee and manage yard management systems.
  • Collaborate as a team player, demonstrating flexibility in working hours to meet business demands.
  • Ensure optimal use of planning and yard management systems, adhering to best practices.
  • Support colleagues by recognizing their strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Continuously seek ways to enhance service delivery by proposing innovative ideas.
  • Uphold safety standards and company policies to minimize risks and hazards.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications for Success:

  • Proven experience with yard and planning management systems.
  • Familiarity with transport planning in a third-party logistics environment is advantageous.
  • Proficient in using transport planning software.
  • Strong communication skills and a successful history of building customer relationships.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of up to £26,000 per annum, along with 20 days of holiday (plus bank holidays) and the option to purchase additional leave. Employees also benefit from various high street discounts, a cycle-to-work scheme, a workplace pension, and other perks.
