Senior Software Engineer, Developer Experience

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Hypixel Studios, a remote collaboration hub that brings together talented individuals from diverse backgrounds to build community-powered games.

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer on our Developer Experience team, you will be a subject matter expert on the mechanics of our development platform, ensuring high-quality code, local test and build reliability, and streamlined development workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with game developers across disciplines to optimize development workflows and troubleshoot issues.
  • Automate IDE configuration and developer onboarding, ensuring seamless integration with our CI/CD Team.
  • Optimize local build performance and digital content creation pipelines.
  • Work closely with our CI/CD Team to ensure that code changes are successfully deployed across all environments.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in analyzing and improving software development workflows.
  • Strong fundamental programming skills, with flexibility to apply across a wide range of languages and environments.
Bonus Traits
  • Experience with tooling in the C++ ecosystem (AddressSanitizer, MTuner, Clang-Tidy, Visual Studio, IntelliJ).
  • Familiarity with quality tools and techniques such as linters, static analyzers, fuzz testing, memory analysis, etc.
