Role Responsibilities:
As an apprentice, you will:
- Collaborate with team members to assess the properties of various construction materials such as concrete, aggregates, and cement.
- Enhance the performance of existing materials and test new solutions for optimal results.
- Utilize modern technologies to advance materials testing processes, including automation and ergonomic equipment.
- Develop practical skills in non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
- Adhere to safety and quality standards, supporting the laboratory's accreditation.
- Transport materials for testing from various locations.
Training and Development:
This apprenticeship spans 21 months, leading to a Level 3 qualification. You will:
- Engage in 'off the job' training, including theoretical and practical components.
- Receive mentorship from experienced professionals to foster your growth.
- Participate in regular assessments to track your progress.
Future Opportunities:
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you may have the chance to advance to roles such as:
