Fresh Horticultural Careers is seeking a seasoned Garden Maintenance Manager to lead our team of gardeners in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining the highest standards of care for our domestic and commercial clients across London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team of garden maintenance staff, scheduling and coordinating maintenance activities, and liaising with clients to ensure their gardens are maintained to the highest standard. Key Responsibilities: Team Management
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of garden maintenance staff to ensure seamless execution of maintenance activities.
Scheduling and Coordination
  • Plan and schedule maintenance activities to ensure timely completion and optimal resource allocation.
Client Relations
  • Act as primary point of contact for clients, conducting site visits, and engaging with clients to understand their needs, providing accurate estimates, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Horticulture Care
  • Oversee all garden maintenance tasks, including planting, pruning, weeding, fertilizing, pest control, and irrigation management, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest horticultural standards.
Quality Control
  • Regularly inspect garden sites to ensure maintenance standards are met, implementing improvements as necessary to enhance garden aesthetics and health.
Health & Safety
  • Ensure all teams comply with health and safety regulations, providing training and enforcing safety protocols among the teams.
Equipment Management
  • Oversee the maintenance of gardening tools and equipment, ensuring all equipment is in good working order with regular maintenance service checks.

You will need:

  • Excellent horticultural knowledge with at least 5+ years of experience in garden maintenance, with at least 2 years' supervisory or managerial role.
  • Ability to produce accurate quotes.
  • Highly organized and able to multitask effectively.
  • A desire and passion to continually learn and develop.
  • A drive to deliver, create, and nurture high-standard gardens.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • A right to live and work in the UK.
  • Full clean driver's license with two years' minimum driving experience.
  • Recognized horticultural qualification or a high level of horticultural knowledge/experience.

Salary: £30,000-£41,000 per year, depending on experience
