Exciting Opportunity for a Field Service Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team in the South West and Midlands areas of the UK (M5 corridor). As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing specialist packaging equipment used in the food industry.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide maintenance and installation services for specialist protein-based packaging equipment.
- Work on a mix of planned and reactive maintenance, with approximately 80% planned and 20% reactive.
- Act as the main representative of the company while on customer sites, ensuring excellent customer service and support.
- Evaluate customer needs, define their expectations, and plan and organize service, maintenance, or installation work.
- Evaluate, troubleshoot, and recommend repairs or replacement of systems and equipment.
- Provide customers with detailed instructions for, perform, and coordinate installations, maintenance, testing, and corrective actions.
Requirements:
- Previous experience maintaining or servicing process, packaging, or similar equipment is essential.
- Mechanical and Electrical skills are required.
- Pneumatic or Hydraulic knowledge is necessary.
