Bath, Bath and North East Somerset, United Kingdom Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated nursing professional to become a vital member of our esteemed multi-disciplinary team, with a sincere desire to enhance or develop expertise in Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT).

Within our Chemotherapy Day Unit, we provide opportunities to expand your skills and knowledge in assisting patients undergoing SACT and/or supportive therapies in an acute oncology environment. You will benefit from a tailored induction program that includes visits to related areas within the department. This will be complemented by the completion of the United Kingdom Oncology Nurses competency passport within a six-month timeframe.

Once you are established in your role, we encourage you to consider your career trajectory as an integral part of your professional development. Various Cancer Care qualifications are available to align with your individual career aspirations as well as the needs of the service.

Key Responsibilities

As a cohesive team, we strive to be empathetic, supportive, personal, and transparent; the experiences of our patients and their families are at the core of our mission. Therefore, alongside robust clinical and technical abilities, we expect a profound understanding of the unique needs of our patients, along with the capacity to provide support and care for them and their families throughout their treatment journey. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that patients and their families receive high-quality care, positively influencing their cancer experience.

We encourage informal visits to our unit. Please feel free to reach out to our Senior Sisters for further information.

We prioritize staff wellbeing, offering a comprehensive support program. Our holistic approach encompasses all aspects of a healthy lifestyle, including physical, emotional, spiritual, and financial wellness.
