POSITION OVERVIEW

The successful candidate will take charge of planning and executing a variety of activities tailored to our residents' needs throughout the day. Flexibility is essential, as there may be occasions requiring additional hours to facilitate outings and special events, ensuring our residents gain the most from their experiences.

This role involves promoting the social, intellectual, and spiritual well-being of residents through diverse activities, supporting their interests, and encouraging participation. The coordinator will assist in organizing and implementing individual, group, and fundraising activities that align with each resident's aspirations.

The position requires delivering comprehensive physical, psychological, and social care to our elderly residents.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Foster friendships with residents to help them adapt to life in a care environment.
  • Provide a high standard of personal and psychological care to all residents in a professional manner.
  • Maintain effective communication with management, senior care staff, culinary teams, and family members to ensure seamless operations and collaboration.
  • Document records as required, ensuring accuracy and completeness in line with monthly agreements with management.
  • Safeguard the rights of residents and staff, adhering to the care philosophy of the home.
  • Uphold confidentiality regarding clients, staff, and business matters at all times.
  • Plan and coordinate daytime and evening activities.
  • Stay informed about health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other services within the facility to enhance the activities program.
  • Assess residents' needs and establish activity goals for their care plans.
  • Encourage resident participation in activities and document the outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide necessary support to all staff, aligning with the home's objectives and resident needs.
  • Maintain open communication within staff teams, individual colleagues, and residents.
  • Perform any additional duties as requested.
  • Engage in training and development programs deemed appropriate to enhance contributions to the home.
  • Be adaptable to occasional changes in routine based on business needs, demonstrating enthusiasm and flexibility.
