Hours: 1st role Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm, 2nd role Monday - Friday on shift of 6am-2:30pm & 9am-6pm

Job Summary:

We are seeking two experienced Waste Transfer Station Operatives to join our client's team in Weston-Super-Mare on a permanent basis. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the waste transfer station, adhering to health and safety regulations, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet and Greet: Greet contractors and service providers, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Material Handling: Load and unload vehicles using a Wheeled 360 material handler and loading shovel.
  • Traffic Management: Oversee site traffic and control the flow of waste deposits into the site.
  • Customer Service: Maintain a polite and respectful demeanor with colleagues, members of the public, and client representatives.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Weighbridge Operations: Operate the weighbridge in accordance with company requirements.
  • Site Maintenance: Maintain general housekeeping and site tidiness to ensure safe operations and cleanliness.

Requirements:

  • Full Clean Driving License: Possess a valid full clean driving license.
  • Experience: Experience with wheel excavators, material handlers, mobile loading shovels, and forklifts.
  • Physical Ability: Physically able to carry out manual handling and cleaning duties.
  • Health and Safety: Ability to follow health and safety instructions.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrable communication skills in dealing with members of the public with respect and courtesy.
