Primary School Teaching Assistant (SEN) Opportunity

We are a welcoming and inclusive primary school located in the heart of Upminster, dedicated to providing quality education and support to our diverse student community, including a significant number of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other special educational needs (SEN).

Our school is committed to creating a nurturing environment that encourages every child to thrive and reach their full potential.

As a Teaching Assistant at our school, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 support and assist in group settings to help create an inclusive and engaging learning environment for all our students.
  • Work with children with SEN, particularly those with ASD, to help them reach their full potential.
  • Support the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons to meet the needs of all students.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with SEN, particularly those with ASD.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
