Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide individualized support to a child with Autism in a Year 2 setting.

This is a unique opportunity to work closely with a child and contribute to their educational and personal growth.

  • Provide one-to-one support to a child with Autism, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with the teacher to develop and implement tailored lesson plans, ensuring the child's individual needs are met.
  • Support the teacher in planning, evaluating, and adjusting lessons to optimize the child's learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster a positive and accepting attitude towards all children, promoting a sense of belonging and inclusion.
  • Consistently support children while responding to their unique needs and requirements.
  • Work closely with the teacher to plan, deliver, and evaluate lessons, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Deliver targeted catch-up sessions to support the child's academic progress.
Requirements:
  • Recent experience working with children and young people, preferably in an educational setting.
  • A genuine passion for education and a commitment to making a positive impact.
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills, with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work under the guidance of the teacher, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Reliability and punctuality, with a strong work ethic.
