Electrical Installation Technician Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Technician to join our team in the South East region. As an Electrical Installation Technician, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, testing, and commissioning Variable Speed Drives and Control panels on various sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Service existing customers' drives and perform routine maintenance tasks.
  2. Assist in small installations of MCCs, new for old Variable Speed Drives, and Soft starters.
  3. Attend breakdowns to customers' sites for reactive maintenance and provide technical support.
  4. Support the sales team in promoting our products and services.
  5. Work with various industry sectors, including food & beverage, pharmaceutical, paper & pulp, petrochemical, chemical manufacturing, and mining & aggregate companies.
  6. Hold a minimum of C & G Part 1, 2 & 3, HNC/ONC in electrical/electronic engineering, and a current JIB Skills Card or CCSC.
  7. Direct online starting and Start Delta Starting knowledge is essential, as well as PC knowledge for software programmes used in commissioning.
  8. Working knowledge of PLC, Soft Start & Variable Speed Drives, Instrumentation, and 4-20mA Control is an advantage, but training will be provided.
