The Emergency SDEC team is seeking skilled registered nurses to enhance our workforce.
We are in search of positive, resilient, and compassionate individuals who are eager to expand their knowledge and skills in minor procedures. We will provide support for you to acquire competencies such as triage, suturing, and plastering.
You will collaborate closely with Emergency Nurse Practitioners to ensure that patient journeys through both the Emergency Care Centre and Urgent Treatment Centre are safe, efficient, and timely.
It is essential that you possess the ability to perform under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and communicate effectively, while thriving in dynamic and rapidly changing environments. Flexibility to work across both units is a must.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care coordinated through a family-centered approach.
- Collaborate within a cohesive multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless and efficient patient care.
- Achieve the expectations outlined in this role through hands-on clinical practice, ongoing education, and research initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential Criteria
- Current RN registration with NMC and any relevant post-registration qualifications.
- BSc Degree in a related field.
- Evidence of recent Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Experience in resource management and contributing to departmental budgets.
- Demonstrated ability in developing policies and guidelines.
- Awareness of research and evidence-based practices relevant to the clinical setting.
Desirable Criteria
- Proficiency in computer systems, including patient administration software.
Skills and Knowledge

- Clinically competent at Band 5 with a minimum of 6 months of experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Additional Requirements
