About the Role

Mencap is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Support Workers in Witham. We have full-time, part-time, and waking night roles available, offering a range of contract options to suit your needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist individuals with daily activities, providing emotional support and promoting independence.
  • Work collaboratively with a diverse team to deliver person-centred care and support.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with individuals, understanding their unique needs and abilities.
  • Contribute to a supportive and inclusive work environment, valuing the contributions of all team members.

Requirements

  • A genuine passion for supporting others.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

Shift Times

All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life.

Days and weekends: Between 07:00-10:00

Relief - a zero hour contract where you can work flexibly around your current commitments.
