Position Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a valid driving license and be open to travel as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regular Inspections: Conduct routine inspections of communal areas to ensure compliance with legal and corporate standards.
  • Hazard Management: Identify and document any hazards or obstructions, ensuring that appropriate notices and photographic evidence are collected for compliance records.
  • Fire Safety: Test fire panel equipment and emergency lighting systems to maintain safety standards.
  • Reporting Issues: Identify and report any repairs or environmental concerns to the appropriate teams.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate inspection records for auditing purposes.
  • Water Safety: Perform water flushing of communal supplies to mitigate legionella risks.
  • Key Management: Oversee the secure storage and management of communal keys and fobs, ensuring availability of spares as needed.
  • Contractor Coordination: Assist in facilitating access for contractors as required.
Community Engagement

Build and nurture effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, colleagues, and partner organizations to enhance community support.

Utilize the CRM system to manage work tasks and document outcomes efficiently.

Collaborate with the Neighbourhood Housing Team to implement service plans and specific projects, contributing to new build and reinvestment initiatives.

Performance Monitoring

Monitor and report on the performance of service contracts, such as landscaping and communal cleaning, addressing any identified issues promptly.

Qualifications
  • Education: GCSE/NVQ level preferred.
  • IT Skills: Proficiency in IT, with qualifications such as ITQ or GCSE.
  • Experience: Proven track record in delivering exceptional customer service and inspecting communal areas.
  • Collaboration: Experience in partnership working with various stakeholders.

  • Team Contribution: Ability to positively impact team performance and outcomes.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
