Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary project team, you will provide technical expertise and design capabilities to develop and deliver water and wastewater solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce civil designs, calculations, and specifications to high standards for water, wastewater, or pipeline projects, collaborating with CAD technicians to create 3D models or 2D drawings.
  • Work within design teams to produce timely, budget-friendly, and standards-compliant designs, liaising with stakeholders, including Operations, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Drive excellence in Health and Safety in design, eliminating hazards and reducing risks while adhering to Alliance CDM procedures.
  • Progress projects from feasibility to construction, ensuring seamless transitions.
  • Conduct site visits to assess asset conditions, gather data, and inform design solutions.
  • Support the development and implementation of Standard Products for repeatable design solutions.
  • Identify and promote opportunities to meet project objectives in digital transformation, sustainability, innovation, and people development.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A minimum of HNC/HND in Civil Engineering

• Extensive experience in Civil Engineering, particularly in water and wastewater projects

• Proficiency in MS Office and relevant engineering design software

• Ability to interpret ground investigation reports and design solutions

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Strong reporting and data analysis capabilities
