With remarkable developments and renovations spanning various sectors such as education, healthcare, public services, leisure, residential, and hospitality, this contractor is in need of a proficient and experienced Project / Site Manager to join their expanding construction team and oversee their forthcoming projects.

Your new role: As a Construction Project Leader, you will be tasked with managing the construction lifecycle from initiation to completion, ensuring that projects are executed within budget and to the highest standards, while collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders as well as contractor teams.

Anticipated projects will include large-scale commercial initiatives such as warehouses, commercial facilities, and MOD assignments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the construction management of individual projects.
  • Ensuring effective planning and implementation of all projects.
  • Managing and appointing contractor teams.
  • Scheduling and coordinating work programs with contractor teams.
  • Conducting various site visits, including pre-construction meetings and final inspections.
  • Upholding a high standard of Health & Safety compliance.
  • Engaging with external parties such as landlords, surveyors, design consultants, and legal teams.

What you'll need to succeed: A successful Construction Project Leader will have prior experience managing commercial projects valued up to £5 million.

You should demonstrate exceptional communication and organizational skills, a keen attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards both on-site and off-site. The ability to adhere to demanding schedules while focusing on quality and health & safety is essential. You will lead the project and site teams in alignment with client expectations. Technical proficiency and IT literacy are required, along with a willingness to travel as necessary to ensure effective project delivery. Experience in Construction Project Management is crucial.

A proven history of successfully delivering multiple construction-related projects of similar size and value (£10k - £5m) is expected. Experience in collaborating with building contractors is also important.
