About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Practitioner to join our team in Bonnyrigg, Lothian. As an Autism Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting a young man in his 20s, promoting his independence and enabling him to engage in his local community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the person's support plan, working closely with their support network and other stakeholders.
  • Build positive relationships with the young man, empowering him to make informed decisions and take part in activities that bring him joy.
  • Provide support with personal care needs, including continence assistance and daily hygiene routines.
  • Assist in developing adaptive strategies to navigate and overcome challenges.
Requirements
  • A full UK driving license with the ability to drive a manual vehicle.
  • Experience of working within social care is desirable, but not essential.
  • A willingness to learn and develop in the role, with a commitment to our organisational values: Collaboration, Compassion, Change Makers, and Contribution.
