Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Domestic Support Specialist to join our team at Biggart Hospital. As a key member of our facilities services team, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a wide range of domestic services to support clinical services throughout Ayrshire and Arran, in line with NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specification.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, corridors, and public areas.
  • Operate industrial cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely and effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure a seamless and efficient service.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and visitors to ensure their needs are met.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting or with industrial cleaning equipment is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Hours

Post 1: 14.89 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00-12:00 and Friday 09:00-11:52.

Post 2: 16 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 15:42-19:00.
