The Role/Position Overview
FT Studio is an in-house creative team that produces partner content for the Financial Times across Luxury and B2B. We create market-leading editorial and client-brand content, including interactive digital websites, animations, mini-documentaries, print, and social media. The Junior Art Director will work in a collaborative environment, supporting FT Studio's creative department in delivering world-class content across various formats and industries, with a focus on luxury.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver art direction support across digital, video, and animation to the highest quality, supporting Senior Art Directors and the wider team.
- Hands-on with design and typography across campaigns.
- Presenting to team members.
- Translate complicated subject matters into compelling and engaging visual storytelling.
- Ensure the client brief is at the heart of all solutions, exceeding client expectations.
- Maintain and develop our creative craft and excellence in delivery.
- Work closely with Senior Art Directors and collaborate with other creatives, producers, and writers to bring projects to a conclusion.
- Be ideas-driven and a lover of storytelling.
Required Skills/Experience
- Excellent typography and graphic design skills.
- Digital experience is preferable but not necessary.
- Ability to make compelling creative recommendations.
- Ability to work collaboratively and with a team-oriented approach.
- Strong organizational skills, able to juggle multiple complex tasks, work independently, and in a team.
- Understanding of Luxury and current trends.
- Ability to take a creative approach to B2B subjects and offer a new perspective.
- An appreciation of, interest in, and hunger to deliver best-in-class creative, helping to push creative standards and techniques.
